Ahh, home sweet home… but as much as I love my cozy bed, I would most definitely prefer to still be in the hot sun, warm sand and cool ocean on the Mayan Riviera, Mexico. What a trip. This year we decided a family trip it was going to be. They loved it. The baby loved the sand, shoveling scoop by scoop into the bucket. My 3 yr old couldn’t stop finding super special rocks and shells… (I’m surprised we didn’t go over our weight limit for baggage!) And the 5 yr old loved it all – the water, the lazy river, the kids club, etc… Memories for a lifetime. It wasn’t what I would call relaxing, but we had fun. The moment I will remember: swimming in the refreshing water as fish swim around my legs, watching my kids play in the sand then looking out into the ocean, the blue, azul ocean, looking past the craggy rocks and the lush green vegetation. wishing I didn’t have to come back, not yet, to the cold white north ,but knowing the inevitable, drinking in the last moments of a tropical paradise.
