Ultimate Boys Trip – Part 1 – MIAMI

Day 1:

we made it through the first leg of the ultimate boys trip’

– Miami was a success! We arrived in Miami on Saturday after arriving from Dallas the Super Bowl city – we were quite surprised to that there was 4 inches of snow in Dallas Texas. Here are few images from the DFW airport

We did not waste too much time to leave the hotel right away to go cruising  Collins Avenue in Miami Beach There were quite the crowds on the streets, sidewalks and posh looking restaurants. Fancy cars were not in shortage:

It was surprising that downtown Miami looks very much like the new area of Vancouver Yale town.

Day 2:

After a superb sleep in the most comfortable bed ever at the Hyatt – Miami – situated right on the Doral 36 hole PGA golf course – we headed down south to the Florida Keys and ultimately to Key West. But on our way down we stopped at the Homestead NASCAR racing track. We  made our way to the midway – and roamed around  the pit lane. The cars were unbelievably loud and zoomed around at 300 km/hr – that a rush.

We arrived in Key West just in time for the Super Bowl but first we enjoyed a photo op at the Southern most point of the USA. The neatest thing about Key West was the local wild chicken population. Chickens and Roosters roam around free there – lay eggs under patios of houses and are kept in check by hawks and eagles ( so a local dude told us)

we also saw a mystery blimp on our way to Key West! – all white very high in the sky – this was taken with  a 1.6 crop 70-200mm @ 200mm and 2x tele extender

Local wild rooster chasing us – showing us who the boss is!

A quick drive back on the Turnpike and another great nights sleep we found ourselves rushing to the airport to drop off the rental car and grabbing a cab to drive us to the terminal “Miami Vice” style. Signing off for now from 49,000 feet above the shores of the Bahamas.
