Que and Jon Married! Calgary Palliser Wedding Photographers

Our second wedding of the May long weekend double header was superb! With Que and Jon’s wedding ceremony and reception at the amazing Fairmont Palliser, it was fabulous!

To start the day off, I joined Que in one of the suites at the Fairmont Palliser. She was so prepared and gave me ample time to get amazing shot of her and her girls as they put on their finishing touches! Side Note: Brides, try to give at least 1 hour, if not 1.5, for getting ready shots, AFTER hair and makeup is done. Look below and you will see what gorgeous images you will get of yourself before the ceremony! Also you can capture such special moments between bridesmaids, family and the bride! So much better than being rushed!
Que, with ample time, spent time getting ready with her bridesmaids, and the cute little flower girl!
Then we headed through the sneaky route, (Note Wendy’s Corner) to the Turner Valley Room for the lovely wedding ceremony! It was beautiful, from the flower petals adorning the aisle runner, to the satin sashes on the chairs. It was a perfect ceremony, with some genuine speaking to the couple.

With the Fairmont Palliser as our backdrop, we took family photos and some bridal party shot in the lobby area, then headed out to some sandstone ruins, and finally a cool parkade, with a sweet view of the Calgary tower!

The couple had a neat idea, to add to the normal receiving line, a photo opportunity, for any guests who were not in the family shots. So each person got a professional picture with them and the wedding couple!

The reception in the Alberta room was beautiful, with blue uplighting, and AMAZING food, as per Jon’s Montreal palette, and of course by the awesome Palliser chefs. Yummy! It was only the 2nd time in my life I’d had a palette cleanser, the first being my brother in laws wedding, which happened to be in Montreal!
