What a ride! Liz and Abbas were to be married just 7 days after the floods hit Calgary, their venue, Hotel Arts was shut down and with no power. The Thursday before the wedding, they finally were relived to hear that the Hotel would open for their wedding! Kudos to Brian B. and his staff at Hotel Arts to get everything up and ready for Liz & Abbas’ big day!
There were also some minor set backs, like the chair covers, which were previously coming from High River… now flooded, so Liz was scrambling to find another supplier. But what an amazing success!! The ceremony was beautiful, with white draped and jewels dripping, Liz looked like a dream coming down the aisle with her father. A lovely touch was the flowers for the mothers and sand ceremony with the fathers.
We then headed out to some locations in downtown, then reader rock garden for the creative photo s. The weather was just lovely, and then we headed back for the Zaffee entrance at the hotel! I just adore that amazing Lebanese tradition. The groom enters with live music and animated dancers, and they dance around and around, then the bride comes in and joins in!
Congratulations Liz & Abbas, your day was just perfect, and we were so lucky to have spent it with you!
Enjoy Bora Bora!!!
